The Season
In Cross Country, competitors run races that vary in length from 2 to 3 miles. Girls' and boys' fresh-soph races are 2 miles long. Varsity girls races are 2.5 miles long. Varsity boys races are 3 miles long.
The first practice of the 2000 season for the Northside Mustangs was in late August. The Mustangs had quite a season, winning several meets and doing well overall.
Among the races that the Mustangs won were the Mather Invitational, the Providence St. Mel Invitational, and two races at Legion Park.
