Rolling on the River

     In this colloquium, students will learn biological sampling techniques and chemical testing techniques used to monitor the health of rivers and streams. Through this experiential approach, students will gain an understanding and appreciation for the work of environmental scientist. In addition, students will be learning about the history of the river in the development of Chicago. Students will also explore topical issues about the river, which have made recent headlines. This project reflects our overall school goals of raising the environmental awareness of our student body and creating students who are actively involved in the community.
