Math for Change

The seminar uses mathematical investigations to examine social issues such as the distribution of wealth, teenage pregnancy, poverty, the spread of AIDS, welfare, drinking and driving, and corporate greed. Through the unique approach of applying math to such topics, students will have the opportunity to gain a fresh perspective on social issues.
