Geometer's Sketchpad

Students will use Geometer's Sketchpad, a software program that enriches learning of geometrical concepts. Investigative activities will help students build upon their own curiosities to make conjectures and to test and refine them. One of the goals of the workshop will be for students to reach their own conclusions as a result of the guided investigation - conclusions they are able to support and defend with the capabilities of the software. For geometry to be an exciting adventure it should include more than definitions, postulates, and theorems; this workshop provides experience and activities that help students understand the real value of geometry.
