What is Virtual School?

Virtual school is where students will build a school for the World Wide Web. The design and maintenance of the Virtual Northside College Prep is a unique opportunity to bring together students with skills in logical reasoning, visual and organizational aptitude, and creative writing. Students need have no previous experience in Web Page design to assist in the colloquium.

What will students get out of the Virtual School?

Students will learn how to use standard HTML language for creating Web pages which are transportable to virtually any location. They will work collaboratively to design a web site for Northside College Prep. They will also learn the rudiments of form design, page layout, and we will also try to investigate some Web design software such as Dream Weaver or Flash.

Members of the Virtual School Colloquium will learn to utilize and refine their communication skills, since they need to consult with their peers in other colloquia to determine how to fill their peers' requests as to what these peers would like on their own colloquial Web pages.
